Tiny House

ABT's Origami Tiny House breaks free from the cube, unfolding its box of colors to reveal its secrets…....

Tiny houses represent an alternative for those looking to simplify their lives, reduce their environmental impact, and gain financial independence. Living in a tiny house is becoming an attractive option for many French people seeking a more pleasant lifestyle. Whether you're drawn to simplicity or ecology, the tiny house offers a simplified and enriching living environment.

Materials:

Wood and steel with hemp bricks, hemp-crete formed, or Class 4 wood structure and finishes, of course. Green roof or wood shingles. (Within five years, 3D-printed earth walls.) Interiors made of marine-grade plywood, natural paints such as seaweed, and eco-friendly finishes such as beeswax.

The secrets are revealed as you step inside: modular furniture, staircases with built-in storage, folding or drop-down tables, Murphy beds or mezzanines.

Living space: Often open to the kitchen, this space is intended to be welcoming and functional, conducive to relaxation and socializing.

Fully equipped kitchen: Although compact, it includes a sink, stove, refrigerator, freezer, and storage. Energy-efficient appliances are common.

Bathroom: Featuring a shower or bathtub, sink, and toilet with hand basin, it offers all the necessary comfort in a small space.

Night space: Located on the mezzanine and utilizing rising heat, these spaces are designed to offer comfort and maximize space. Carefully designed storage: Every nook and cranny is used for storage, from wall shelves to drawers under the units, for a tidy and functional living space.

ABT Architecture's Tiny Houses do not require any permits, as they are fixed and most are subject to regulations and a work declaration.

Origami - Type C : 60 m2
T3 + terrasse

This 2 bedroom with full bath is meticulously conceived to maximize the apparent and actual interior space. Using subtil psychological clues, the lines, lights and color/materials are incorporated to give the occupant the most open visuals of their space and beyond : the impression and usage of a home three times the size. A full kitchen and dining nook sits along a spacious séjour with built-in storage and smart entertainment center. Double sliding doors seamlessly open unto the covered terrasse with adjustable diagonal awning. This is conceived not only to modify the views, but to maximise the passive solar heating and cooling. The walls themselves incorporate a passive heat exchange system, renewing the interior air without losing any heat. Upstairs is found the full bath, two bedrooms and a railed balcony leading to a storage closet and laundry unit. This is proposed with steel structure, wood framing or hemp-crete, all within 60 m2. This home can be equipped to be fully autonome.

One can focus on affordability, lowering maintenance, the cozy atmosphere or even the energy efficiency. Most Tiny Houses have these aspects, but an ABTA Tiny House incorporates this and continues above and beyond those important concerns to also incorporate the following :

Kurasi : The art of living, or a way of life that brings joy. Which core elements do you wish for an ideal life?

Feng Shui : Application of the rules of Feng Shui, the attitude, color management, orientations cardinal, and employ of the Bagua.

Atmosphere : The realms; the sacred entry, intimate couples zone, playful children’s zone, or a home for one person, zen or not.

Shape of Space : Varied ceiling heights, a sunny corner, light form two sides, interior windows, half walls, child caves and alcoves.

Biophilic Principles : Connection to the elements, the material, lighting, biomimicry, airflow, access to nature and incorporation of these within the spacial layout.

Golden Proportions : A curved line running from one corner of the square to the next creates a mathematically ordered sequence, which occurs throughout patterns in nature, such as pine cones, flowers, and shells, as well as storms and galaxies. During the Renaissance, artists called this compositional sequence “the divine proportion”, and even believed it had a spiritual, Biblical significance.
